Pests and Diseases
GSC Autoflowering may be prone to spider mites and powdery mildew attacks especially when the conditions are too dry and dusty or with poor air circulation. Regular monitoring is important to identify any signs early enough. Also, keep the humidity levels around 40-60% with a proper air circulation system.
Nutrient Deficiencies
Just like any ruderalis genetics, GSC Auto grows vigorously and nutrient deficiency may be a challenge. Watch out for nitrogen deficiency as the plants go through the vegetative stage. Here are the visual symptoms

So how do you know when to harvest GSC Auto buds? Here are the harvesting and curing tips you need.
- Timing– Timing your harvest ensures that you don’t harvest too early before maturity and not too late to lose the precious resin. Inspect the trichomes with the help of a magnifying glass and harvest your buds when they turn cloudy with the pistils turning amber or brown. The leaves are often curly at this stage.
- Harvesting– During harvesting only use a sharp pair of scissors or knife, start with pruning any excess foliage blocking hidden buds. Carefully cut and handle the buds without damaging the trichomes.
- Drying– After harvesting, hang the buds upside down in a cool dark area with good airflow. Dry the buds for about 7-10 days or until the stems snap cleanly.
- Curing– Curing helps develop the strain’s flavour and potency. The dried buds should be placed in airtight jars and opened (burping) daily in the first week to release any moisture. The burping reduces in the second week through the fourth week. The longer you cure your buds, the better their taste and hit.

One of the better Autoflower strains to grow. Girl Scout Cookies turned out really nice and was smelling amazing once finished. I highly recommend this strain as their pick on genetics is one of the best ones I used so far.
