Ringo’s Gift CBD
From an intriguing breeding story to being a household name in Barcelona’s cannabis cafes, Ringo’s Gift CBD never disappoints. This high-profile strain, bred from Harle-Tsu and ACDC, has evolved into one with high CBD and minimal THC. In 2015, its therapeutic reputation and great taste earned it the Best CBD Concentrate award during the Socal High Times Cannabis Cup.
The first phenotype of Ringo’s Gift CBD had a CBD to THC ratio of 1:1. With careful crossbreeding, the modern Ringo’s Gift CBD soars with a remarkable CBD to THC ratio of 24:1. CBD levels often range between 15% and can rise to over 20%. THC, on the other hand, sticks below 1.2%.
This cannabis strain has a well-balanced genetic lineup. While most traits are balanced between Indica and Sativa, Ringo’s Gift CBD shows a slight lean to sativa overall with a 60% dominance over 40% Indica.
For its appearance, Ringo’s Gift CBD seeds grows thick buds with perfectly shaped, round and knobbly nugs that can easily be mistaken for caramelized popcorn. Their look is bolstered by a mint green foliage background with sparkling trichomes and adequate brown to orange pistils.

Growing Ringo’s Gift CBD
If you have some cannabis growing background, Ringo’s Gift CBD offers the perfect adventure for you. This strain needs intermediate skills to thrive. It is a bit sensitive to nutrition, with some growers reporting withering even with no overfeeding or underfeeding. However, it regains its footing fast after optimization.
Ringo’s Gift is pretty adaptable to different climates. For outdoor growers, it blossoms under a warm Mediterranean climate where harsh winters are not an issue. Growing it indoors offers better results as you can control temperatures and humidity.
Height
Ringo’s Gift CBD plants are small to medium in size. They often show a thick canopy that may require training, especially when multiple plants are fitted in a limited space.
Flowering Time
The plants take their time to mature but end up with an above-average yield with high cannabinoid and terpene concentrations. Typically, Ringo’s Gift CBD takes anywhere between 9 and 10 weeks to finish flowering.
Yield
Ringo’s Gift CBD yields well with outdoor setups offering up to 350 grams per plant. Indoor growers get about 350 grams per square meter.

Mastering Ringo’s Gift CBD for Optimal Growth
As mentioned before, this strain requires closer attention to nutrition. Proper feeding avoids stressing the plants which affects the overall yield quality and quantity. Plus, identifying any signs and symptoms at an earlier stage ensures the plants recuperate faster.
Here are crucial tips to help you plan your Ringo’s Gift CBD nutrition program.
Nutrients Needed at Each Stage
- Seedling– At this stage, your Ringo’s Gift CBD needs a more neutral mix with mild nitrogen so as to avoid burning the fragile roots. This mix is essential in supporting early vigorous growth and helps establish a solid root system that will aid in optimal nutrient absorption later.
- Vegetative– A slight increase in nitrogen helps with the formation of leaves and stems. Balance it with phosphorus, potassium and other micronutrients to strengthen the plants and boost their resilience.
- Flowering– As the planets start forming nodes, go for lesser nitrogen in your growing medium. Higher nitrogen encourages leaf growth in the place of flowers. Also, bump up the phosphorus and potassium for denser and resin-filled buds.
- Maturity– About two weeks before the harvesting day, stop any nutrient addition and begin flushing the plants. This helps with optimizing the taste and smoothness of your nugs.
Choosing your Growing Medium
The best-growing medium that supports optimal nutrient use starts with a proper drainage system. It works by preventing water logging while allowing for adequate moisture retention. Moisture is essential in dissolving nutrients that are absorbed in the roots.
Coco-coir and loose soil mixes work best for this purpose. Hydroponics are the gold standard for nutrient delivery despite needing high technical skills.
Optimizing Nutrient Absorption
Once the nutrients are in the plant, you need to optimize how the plants utilize them. Temperature, humidity and lighting play a key role in the health of your plants. Any stress arising from these factors stresses the plants and disrupts not only nutrient absorption but also utilization.
Pro Grow Tip : When you are looking for robust plant growth, regular Ph monitoring and proper nutrients are essential for healthy growth and resin production.
Origin And History
It all starts with the magnificent work of Lawrence Ringo, a CBD expert and activist who the strain is named after. In order to make the first phenotype, he blended ACDC and Harle-Tsu. These two strains were some of the most popular CBD flowers of the time.
Over time, several breeding houses have perfected Ringo’s Gift CBD to achieve USDA compliance when it comes to THC. That is how we got away from the 1:1 CBD to THC ratio to this strain’s 24:1 ratio.
